1. To get started if you don't have an IRC Client you can download one by clicking one of the icons below;

2. Install, open up the program and enter the standard command below into the main chat program window

Standard:       /server irc.austirc.net 6667
SSL Enabled: /server -e ssl.austirc.net 6697 (Install SSL)

3. Then simply type /join #AustIRC and begin chatting :)

For friendly help /join #Help and ask your question once and wait for a reply patiently.

If all else fails, feel free to use the chat link above and then type in your nickname into the box and then click 'Click to join chatroom'. No software needed & chat from behind firewalled networks!
